Hearing tests

Danica Hearing Centre offers state-of-the-art hearing tests for the accurate diagnosis of all hearing problems. Our facilities enable us to test all age groups from newborns to elderly people. These tests enable various medical specialists including ENT surgeons, paediatricians, neurologists and physicians to make correct diagnosis for patients with hearing problems.

Tests offered by Danica Hearing Centre:

• Audiogram (Pure Tone Audiometry)
  This test measures the hearing level at varies frequencies
  
• Speech Audiometry
  Measures how clearly the ear hear speech
  
• Video Otoscopy
  Computerised video inspection of the ear
  
• Tympanometry
  Measures ear pressure and movement of the ear drum and the ear bones
  
• Otoacoustic emissions - OAE
  This test measures sounds produced by the ear and enable the doctor to know if the patient is hearing
  
• Acoustic Brainstem Responses - ABR
  This test measures if the hearing nerve respond to sound
  
• Auditory Steady State Responses - ASSR 
  This test measures the responds of the ear to varying pitch
  
• Balance Disorder testing (VEMP)
  Measures the ears balancing ability
  
• Real-ear-measurement (Insertion gain)
  Measures the benefit of a hearing aid
